| Surgery done under microscope is called as microvascular surgery. Any body structure like nerve and blood vessels of size less then 2 or 3 mm are better dealt under microscope. Microsurgery is revolutionised reconstructive plastic surgery Indications are replant of amputed body parts like finger, hand scalp, penis. Repair of blood vessels, and peripheral nerves. Transfer of body tissue called 'free tissue transfer' like muscle , skin flap and bone from one part of body to another part where tissue defect is present. |
